The SkillPlan team had the privilege of participating in a Talking Trees nature walk in Vancouver’s Stanley Park on September 30, 2025. During the Talaysay Tours walking tour, we learned about the shíshálh (Sechelt) Coast Salish and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Peoples, their history and ways of knowing, and gained insight into their ecological practices and how they have been using the land for food, medicine and technology for thousands of years. A huge thank you to our incredible cultural ambassador guide. It was an inspiring way for our team to learn more, connect and celebrate Indigenous knowledge.
