Project Background
The Building It Green project aims to collect and analyze the global industry’s best practices that will improve skilled trades workers’ education and understanding of their role in constructing and maintaining net-zero projects, and to help Canada meet its climate goals.
Inspired by best practices in green building from around the world and in consultation with subject matter experts across the country, we are building a path for tradespeople to take advantage of the opportunities the green economy has to offer.

Project Phases + Outputs
Expanded use of climate literacy and green energy programming in Red Seal apprenticeship and on-the-job journeyperson training to develop a qualified pool of skilled climate-literate construction tradespersons to construct and maintain net-zero construction projects.
