SkillPlan, in collaboration with Canada’s Building Trades Unions, was proud to launch our online Indigenous Awareness Training for Building Trades across Canada at the IUOE Local 115‘s training centre on March 7, 2024. Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy, this new training was a collaborative effort with Indigenous leaders and educators and is a significant step toward deepening cultural understanding and fostering inclusive workplaces. In addition to SkillPlan, speakers at the launch event represented CBTU, IUOE Local 115, Building Trades Alberta, British Columbia Infrastructure Benefits and SkilledTradesBC. Thank you to all who joined us in launching this important training for the construction industry.
